Sickle Cell Anemia
Sickle cell anemia is an inherited form of anemia — a condition in which there aren't
enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen throughout your body.
The Oxtail MashUp is dedicated to spreading awareness of this pervasive condition which effects 1 in 500 African Americans. It is also fairly common in people of Hispanic origin.
